Day 7 Aug. 18th
We had finally hit the one week mark, and today we were going to see our school. We woke up with high ambitions, and on the way there, excitement rose. When we finally got there it was very empty, only on the 2nd floor did we find some of the staff. The secretary, and this assistant guy who showed us around after we turned in our paperwork to the secretary who had the cool english accent. The guy showed us around the 3 floors the school, starting with the one we were on the 2nd. The first floor is dedicated to the primary classes (elementary), and the 2nd and 3rd floor are both for junior high and high school. The class rooms are really big, at least a lot bigger than Chelsea's, and the lab room, and multi media rooms were reall high tech. August 28th i think is my placement test, where they figure out exactly where I'm gonna be, hopefully in my grade, but we'll see where i am. The music, art, and drama room we're all in the basement. The guy said that there's this one kid at the school who is the son of a Jazz heir, and that he is really good at guitar. Well, he better bring his A-game if he's gonna go up against me. Anyway, he wrapped up the tour, and said so-long. After the school we decided that we were gonna go see another famous structure. The Arc of Triumph. So we got on the subway and journeyed there. It was pretty cool. It had sculptures built into the building very amazing. We had bought snacks earlier, and we so now we sat near the arc and ate. After our brief snack we my dad said that stair didn't sound that good right now, so we didn't go up in the arc, but we're here for 2 years so i figure we've got time. After the arc we walked around a found some cool stores like Nike Paris, and other chains. On the way we found exchange place. It felt wierd giving up all my money, but i just let it go. (I did keep 5 bucks though) i gave the guy 69 dollars, and got back like 36. Which kinda blew my mind how low our dollar was, but then i factored in that i had to pay the guy 5 dollars for the exchange, but i'm glad i just got it all over with, and the Euro's look really cool. The bills start 5, and get bigger in size as the value increases. So we kept walking, and ended up on this really fancy street, that my mom said was where all the celebrities, all the brand names, like Gucci, Prada, and Ralph Lauren thoses kinda stores. I was taking a lot of pictures, and I think that the people on the street we're getting angry at me, but i could care less. So we continued walking finding no celebrities. We then decided it was a little late to keep walking around so we went back home. That night I watched Breakfast Club on my laptop, and i've gotta say, one of the best movies i've ever seen. I really liked it. But that's off the topic. So that was the end of day 7.
